Introduction to IFIP Working Group 8.2

The International Federation For Information Processing Working Group 8.2 was established by IFIP in 1977 as a working group concerned with "the interaction of information systems and the organisation." See the aim and scope.

WG 8.2 conducts working conferences and workshops, publishes conference proceedings through IFIP, and publishes a semi-annual newsletter (''OASIS''). In addition, the working group maintains a IFIP WG 8.2 Mailing List, a website (this is it!) and holds business meetings. IFIP itself organizes the World Computer Congress, which includes a TC8 Conference.

You can see our list of award winners, officers, search the list of members and friends, see a list of their web pages and even become a friend or member yourself!

Springer has made available proceedings of conferences held at the 2008 World Computer Congress in Milan. This includes a Technical Committee 8 conference, Advances in Information Systems Research, Education and Practice, which may be of interest to some. See http://www.springer.com/computer/reading+room for details. I had trouble getting the access to work with Firefox, but eventually succeed with Safari.
